Goodbye Distress, Welcome De-Stress!

Sometimes when I wake up in the morning, my mind is an ocean of thoughts streaming every positive and negative cause and effect through the nerves of my body. Every morning is different from the other. It depends on the time you rise. If you have planned the next day's meals and activities in advance on a to-do list and wake up as the bright dawn lights the sky, your priorities will be met successfully.  You must have heard suggestions about a peaceful and meditative start to ensure your mind-body-soul is balanced and refreshed. Moreover, in such a calm state of mind, you will easily feel a spiritual connect within that wàs too hard to find in the world outside. Take some time out to heal the wounds of your heart and get the emotional baggage off your chest.  Make yourself a cake, a chilled mocktail, a banana shake, some spiced french fries etc and switch on your favorite movie or cartoon to be infused with drama-free entertainment that relaxes and soothes your five sense...

The Cost of Success

Today, a social media page read thus, "What is the cost of not daring? What is the cost of not trying?" To the first I'd say: missing out on the following: adventures, exciting memories, golden opportunities to excel, step out of your comfort zone and test your mettle to the hilt to carve your niche in the world. To the latter I'd say, the cost of not trying is failure. Yes, you read that right. You don't fail in the absence of success, but you fail when you don't even try. Let go of fear, inhibitions, many voices in your heart that leave you puzzled. Just be your beautiful, kind, lovely, worthy self to the world and begin with yourself first.  The cost of not trying is missing out on the understanding of the real meaning and essence of life.

"May the brand New Year be infused with oodles of fun, frolic and frission for each of you."  The most obvious part about resolutions remains the fact that we fail to live up to them. Weight-loss and kicking out negativity totally out are on the top of New Year resolutions list.  However, it is best to be realistic instead of keeping an idealistic approach when it comes to resolutions. Keep small goals. Maintain a journal.  Jot down the goals, desired time, steps to take and maintainence post accomplishment.  Here are the resolutions that will allow to expand your horizons, explore your individuality, rejuvenate your mind, body and soul and realize your hidden talent and catapult you towards a progressive path.  Namely: 1) Personality Makeover:  make a list of the areas that require improvement and total makeovers like, 'hair', 'body', 'nails', 'skin', 'fat-loss', 'dressing sense', 'wardrobe'. You can hire a...

New Year Greetings

Before I begin to share my anecdotes and thoughts on the new year, let me grab this golden opportunity to "wish my lovely readers a fruitful, fulfilling and flourishing New Year!" May God shower his choicest blessings on you all.  As the New Year ushers in, we feel excited and exhilarated right at the thought of it. For most of us, the New Year is synonymous with celebrations, get-togethers, music, dance, re-unions, bonfire, gorging on lip-smacking delicacies and desserts. Alternatively for the reserved and recluse sort of people who open up only to their closely-knit family and friends circle, some light heart-to-heart conversations with loved ones playing board and card games in the comforts of your home while sipping a smouldering cuppa coffee. What is the next thing ensued right after celebrations? Resolutions! But that discussion is reserved for next blog. The enthusiasm for the New Year takes place a month in advance. What do we plan? Vacations! Functions! Awards N...
