Smoldering Summers

The hot days of summer
got chilled mocktail for supper
the beaming golden sun rays
i love glistening sunny days
the only thing that bothers
is the humidity that smothers
then it rains cats and dogs,
dampens my face with raindrops
doesn't last for long what a grief
but rains do provide great relief,
the surprising glow on the skin
of sweat, vigor, mischievous grin,
the rainbows shine bright
what a beautiful sight
though I'm a winter season fan,
avoid heatstroke, sunburn and sun tan,
prevention is better than cure,
summers are not much of an allure,
the winters are much awaited, for sure...
