The Cerebracy Lefties - Right to Acceptance

"If something is unconventional, it is not easily accepted by the society. If someone is different from the crowd, he/she is mostly not welcomed with the dignity they deserve. This needs to change. They have a right to live freely, not just breathe or exist in a formidable world that treats them like an outcast."

I have observed, researched and experienced a multitude of incidents wherein a lot of people have faced humiliation and hullabaloo just because of their left-handedness. I deeply feel that lefties deserve as much respect, acceptance, love and prestige in the whole world as right-handed people get on this planet.

Initially, the society will hungrily stare at you, then mock at you, then try to change you. If they do not succeed in their previous attempts to belittle your 'uniqueness', they will take advantage of your talents to their heart's content. When they are through and bored with it, they will treat you like savage and throw you away or atleast have the intention to do so. This is a bitter truth. Many have crawled through this misery. Let us stop this oppression right away.

Here are some of the instances mentioned online:
  1. Two-Thirds of the World Still Hates Lefties

      2. Is there evidence of prejudice against left-handers in the medieval period?

What if someone is unique, not by choice? Infact, it was Nature's decision to descend him to earth as 'a gifted individual'. Why do we call them disabled? Why should we mistreat them? Why should left-handedness be considered a taboo? Why are such blessed people forced to stay aloof just because they are 'differently abled' ? These questions are actually courageous retorts to the bullies. These questions are sharp answers regarding the proof of the brilliance the lefties possess.

Take a few minutes to understand one simple fact: God created humans. A brilliant machine that is so incredibly designed and matchless when compared to man-made machines. Now think! Has God gifted us a face in only one shape, same features, same hobbies, skills, same height or same weight?  No, not at all. All these features may vary from person to person. If a particular person is tall, another might be short. A girl could be slim while the other could be stout. Mr.X could have a penchant for vintage cars while Mr.Y could have a passion for the culinary arts (Remember, some of our best chefs are men?) Not all of us are exactly the same.

However, a few things we are bestowed with are same. Namely: strength, courage and will-power. Some people are naturally bold and brave while some are badly hit with a terrible heartache to shake them awake so they can reach every milestone they set out for.

I remember being a leftie, your personality becomes too conspicuous. People will easily notice every minute detail about the way you conduct yourself. They will greedily observe your eating habits, cooking habits, writing style to cite a few instances. No wonder some of them some of them are laughed at, scorned, bullied and made to feel like a handicapped. But the fact is, they are not handicaps.

Infact, we have some of the legendary names to cite an example amongst a list of Left-handers:

Left handed U.S. presidents

  • Herbert Hoover. (1874-1964) 31st.
  • Harry S. Truman. (1884-1972) 33rd.
  • Gerald Ford. (1913-2006) 38th.
  • Ronald Reagan. (1911-2004) 40th.
  • George H.W. Bush. (1924-) 41st.
  • Bill Clinton. (1946- ) 42nd.
  • Barack Obama. (1961- ) 44th

Be A Rebel- For the Right Reasons

Courtesy- QuoteFancy "Unless you stand up for something you want really bad, chances are you won't get it." "If you always abide by other's rules blindly, you can't create your own." Being a rebel is good because you create a haven for yourself, a world where people are free to fall, get up, make healthy mistakes and learn from them. Nobody is pressurized to be a perfectionist. Everyone is a romanticist where we create free-flowing patterns of theories and fields we hold expertise in. This is a place where a fire of innovation and invention is burning with intensity in everyone. This is a safe haven where people get goaded to perform better by watching competitors excel. There resides a wrathful passion and perseverance in the inhabitants. People flourish with the ebb and flow of creativity. Nobody is made to feel inferior for whatsoever reasons. We groove, gym, giggle, groan but never growl at each other. Once we promise our word, we stand ...

How to move beyond failure toward success?

What is holding us back from being successful? The fear of making mistakes  The fear of getting judged The fear of getting mocked at The fear of failure The fear of losing despite trying very hard Don't be afraid of trying, trying, trying till you succeed. Always believe in your potential despite a hundred unwanted people telling you otherwise.. Always keep the flames of self-motivation burning. Parents, please do not humiliate your kids when they make mistakes, Sit them down, respect their efforts and humbly tell them the lesson hidden in that failure. It is very important to learn from your mistakes and rather than cringing at them like a bad chapter, consider them shapers of your increased confidence and strong character. Stop listening to the voices in the outside world of those buzzing in your mind. Dictate them your achievements, no matter how small or big. Do not let anyone bog you down by reminding you of your embarrassing moments in the past, Sho...
