Bring out the inner child!

Very often when we're caught in the cobwebs of a hectic suffocating metropolitan life, is the time we realise we loved being children more. When nostalgia strikes us as we observe little urchins play around is the time our childhood seems more than perfect. Why? Simply because our life was devoid of any complications, superficiality and the wordly burdens. Life used to be fun and without any pretense. Agreed?

How many of you are embarrassed to admit that you like watching cartoons back-to-back? How many of you prefer to watch Shinchan, Oggy and the Cockroaches, Tom and Jerry more than the soap operas? It's alright, folks! You don't have to be. I guess cartoons give us a little retreat from the heavy-duty drama we go through every day.

Maturity is one thing and lacking childlike effervescence is another. What does the inner child mean, after all? Inner child means having a little urchin inside your adult body that makes your soul blossom. What does the inner child do? The inner child gives you the ability to trust despite a hundred betrayals, the ability to be unafraid of speaking for yourself without caring about what people will say, the ability to love unconditionally-whether yourself or loved ones, the ability to find bliss in little ordinary things, the ability to have fun with simple things of life that people take for granted.

The best thing children teach us is to laugh whole-heartedly for no reason without feeling bad about it. Inner child teaches us to live without fear and drop the cloak of apprehensions and inhibitions. The inner child allows you to unwind, do what brings out the best in you and spread wings of joy with èlan.

The inner child has the ability to keep your spirit youthful, irrespective of age. Don't be surprised if it reflects on your skin and people mistake you for a younger chap. Not lying. The inner child helps you get up after each fall and heal after each setback. It gives you the enthusiasm and faith to empower yourself. Do not undermine the power of inner-child simply because it is a cherub. It gives you strength to keep the inner fire burning to help to overcome any heart-rending tragedies.

By now you must have understood the inner-child concept. I hope it helps you identify his/her presence inside. Now it's time for the next step. How to care for the inner-child? The best way to care for the inner-child is to learn to practice self-love, take a retreat often, exercise creative faculties and draw healthy boundaries. Stop being a pushover because you care too much for others and earn only neglection in return. Raise your standards for tolerance, sacrifices, compromises and being the only backbone of every damn relationship or responsibility.

Engage in feel-good activities such as traveling, trekking, swimming, baking cakes, trying the new mocktail, making yourself a yummy recipe, singing, writing what makes you happy/ your strengths/how you overcome obstacles nobody thought you could. Moreover, you could watch a nice movie like 'The Proposal', 'The Ugly Truth', 'Little Secrets', 'Winky's Horse', 'CJ7', and any other of your choice. Just make sure you've made a tasty sandwich and a quick fruit beverage so it feels no less than a cinema hall experience...all seats reserved for you only.

If you are a lazybones, here's a simple tip:try star-gazing. Now if you're wondering what's new about it? Patience. When you're looking at the stars, relax the choas inside your mind and  silently speak your deepest concerns as questions to the sky as if you're addressing the universe or God and close your eyes, take deep breath and listen to your intuition for answers. Even before you know it, you'll get answers you need. Try this practice a few times and tell me how you feel. Trust me, it really works wonders if you do it with faith, positivity and calmness. Keep doing it till you get results. Everything done from the core of your heart brings good results, eventually.

Till then feel no fear, no judgements, no prejudices. Laugh your heart out, smile, giggle, chuckle to your heart's content. Don't care about what people will say about what's important for your growth. Don't give a damn to those thankless people who don't return even an iota of what you sacrificed. Don't pay heed to your boss or colleagues who oversee your efforts, innovation, uniqueness and cooperation. You don't need to care a dime about those nasty comments your frenemies, relatives or anyone else says. Why? They can only say crap out of jealousy. They can never be strong-willed like you to make those brave life-altering decisions. And remember, jealousy is earned. You've earned it, mate. Enjoy it . Even the blackest coal turns into a dazzling diamond whereas you're born an unbreakable diamond, darling. You don't need to react to everyone or everything and preserve your precious energy for finding the bliss within.

Happy Children's Day! Love you all. Thank you so much for taking the time to read it. I would really feel encouraged to write more if you could give your most valued feedback or simply share how you felt about this topic and later on how it helped you. Let your friends and family know and anyone who you think needs to hear this. Friends, don't forget to like, share and subscribe!

This sweet little innocent girl with the popular 'miss universe pose' without even knowing about it! Hahaha  😂😛

It helps bring alignment in your mind, body and soul.  Usually, we take solace in conventional methods of meditation. Amid the cobwebs of our hectic lives, these structured techniques become too tedious or monotonous.  So, here are some easy-peasy daily activities that are entertaining yet soul-soothing for meditation. Read on: Meditation could be writing, baking, praying, walking in the woods, hearing the birds chirping and rain sounds, dancing to your favourite rhythm, singing a melody or listening to a song that uplifts your very existence.  If you are too restless to meditate, try quick 5 or 10 minute GUIDED meditations in your chosen language. Or Listen to your preferred Nature sounds from a varied range, for couple of minutes.  Don't rush, don't push, don't force it ... Let your intrusive thoughts flow li...

Be A Rebel- For the Right Reasons

Courtesy- QuoteFancy "Unless you stand up for something you want really bad, chances are you won't get it." "If you always abide by other's rules blindly, you can't create your own." Being a rebel is good because you create a haven for yourself, a world where people are free to fall, get up, make healthy mistakes and learn from them. Nobody is pressurized to be a perfectionist. Everyone is a romanticist where we create free-flowing patterns of theories and fields we hold expertise in. This is a place where a fire of innovation and invention is burning with intensity in everyone. This is a safe haven where people get goaded to perform better by watching competitors excel. There resides a wrathful passion and perseverance in the inhabitants. People flourish with the ebb and flow of creativity. Nobody is made to feel inferior for whatsoever reasons. We groove, gym, giggle, groan but never growl at each other. Once we promise our word, we stand ...

How to move beyond failure toward success?

What is holding us back from being successful? The fear of making mistakes  The fear of getting judged The fear of getting mocked at The fear of failure The fear of losing despite trying very hard Don't be afraid of trying, trying, trying till you succeed. Always believe in your potential despite a hundred unwanted people telling you otherwise.. Always keep the flames of self-motivation burning. Parents, please do not humiliate your kids when they make mistakes, Sit them down, respect their efforts and humbly tell them the lesson hidden in that failure. It is very important to learn from your mistakes and rather than cringing at them like a bad chapter, consider them shapers of your increased confidence and strong character. Stop listening to the voices in the outside world of those buzzing in your mind. Dictate them your achievements, no matter how small or big. Do not let anyone bog you down by reminding you of your embarrassing moments in the past, Sho...
